Description

The Fletchers were originally arrow makers associated with the Stewarts and Campbells in Argyll and with the MacGregors in Perthshire

The tartan was recorded by the City of Dunedin in Lord Lyon Public Register of all Arms & Bearings 36/86 on 25th November 1947

More likely the tartan came from the Aberdeenshire Johnstons

the islands of St Kilda occupy  and almost mythical place in the Scot's soul

They apparently produced it during the days of prohibition (1746-1782)
